Gordon Milner (BSEE 2019) served in the US Navy following graduation from high school. He served for over 9 years as a Nuclear Electronics Technician that saw him complete tours on the USS Nimitz CVN-69 and as a staff instructor at Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit MTS-626. After moving back to Texas following his completion of military duties and a short stint in the workforce Gordon transferred to the University of Houston where he continued to apply himself in leadership roles by holding several officer positions in Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, and served as the student liaison for the EAA. Currently he is the Electrical Start-up and Commissioning Lead at Exxonmobil overseeing the final phase for the Permian Crude Venture, a multi-billion dollar joint venture initiative. During his time as a student Gordon could be found at the IEEE Chili Cook-off, BOS Party, the EAA tailgates or in the IEEE lounge/Labs studying. After graduation he continued to volunteer his time to give back to the university by helping with the EAA tailgates and the Exxonmobil UH recruiting team. Gordon currently serves on the EAA board, as well as the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) for the UH's Electrical and Computer Engineering department.
