The Engineering Alumni Association (EAA) is thrilled to announce they will be hosting the 2021 Engineer's Week Program in honor of National Engineers Week on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be hosted virtually via Zoom; yet, the core elements of the event and the celebration of the successful UH Engineering students will remain the primary focus. The E-Week reception celebrates National Engineer's Week by recognizing top achieving current UH Engineering students and connecting them to corporate & community sponsors through selected awards. The 2021 Engineer's Week Program will feature a keynote speaker, virtual networking sessions & the announcement of the student winners. All interested sponsors can contact Director of Engineering Relations, Lauren Sposato at Lsposato [at] central.uh.edu, for more information on how to register for the event and sponsor a student award.
Since the inception of the Engineer's Week Reception, the EAA has raised over $480,000 in scholarships for UH Engineering students. The EAA is only successful in this endeavor due to the generous support of corporate & community sponsors. For the 2020 event, the EAA was thrilled to be sponsored by the following entities: American Society of Indian Engineers, Black Cougar Engineers, Civil Engineering Cougars, CobbFendley & Associates, ConocoPhillips, Fluor Corporation, Friends of Cougar Biomedical Engineering, Ryder Scott Company Friends of UH Petroleum Engineering, Shell Oil Company, Technip FMC, Phillips66, Women Cougar Engineers & the UH Petroleum Engineering Advisory Board.
