Justin DeClue, a Houston native, embarked on his academic journey at the University of Houston, where he fervently pursued engineering. In 1999, he proudly earned his BS degree in Industrial Engineering, initiating his career at Reliant Energy, where he played a pivotal role in power generation project design and construction support.

Returning to UH, Justin completed an MS in Mechanical Engineering in 2003, augmenting his engineering acumen. Armed with a fusion of industrial and mechanical engineering expertise, he ventured into the realm of complex problem-solving as a Supplier Quality Engineer in 2004. At Emerson, he embarked on a globe-trotting journey, establishing supply chains and qualifying suppliers across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Over two decades at Emerson, he navigated diverse quality and operations roles, culminating in his current role as Global Quality Director for Isolation Valves.

The University of Houston played a pivotal role in Justin's success, offering a robust and pragmatic engineering education deeply rooted in real-world applications. UH's strong industry connections fostered a robust network of Cougar Engineers, which Justin actively contributed to as the President of the University of Houston Engineering Alumni Association in 2022 and 2023.

Alongside his achievements, Justin cherishes his family—wife Delyssa and daughters Sydney and Mallory—as active supporters of UH Athletics, solidifying their enduring bond with the University.
