UH Engineering Admitted Student Welcome Event

This event gives you a firsthand look at what it's like to be a UH engineering or technology student and why so many students choose the Cullen College.

At this event, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet your future professors, current students, alumni, and staff
  • Learn more about your first-year courses
  • Explore your intended major and career pathways

New Student Orientation

All incoming freshmen and transfer students are required to attend New Student Conference. Orientation is your official introduction to the University of Houston and the Cullen College. It's where you’ll learn how to navigate campus life, connect with your college community, and get set up for success.

During orientation, you will:

  • Meet with your academic advisor and register for your first semester of courses
  • Learn about campus resources and support services
  • Explore your major and understand degree requirements
  • Get important information about financial aid and campus life

Orientation also removes important advising holds, so attendance is required before you can register for classes.
