I came to UH as an incoming freshman. I am a commuter student. I study mechanical engineering and did an internship this summer as a manufacturing engineer intern for TAS Energy Inc. I am currently a member of the Cougar Racing organization. My goal is to work in either the aerospace or the automotive industry.
I interned with MD Anderson during the summer, where I learned about Healthcare Systems Engineering. I have lived on campus for two years, then moved into an apartment in Houston, so I have done both! I am the On Campus Recruitment Manager for Cullen Ambassadors, an Honors Engineering Teaching Assistant, the Communications Director for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, an Honors Mentor, and a member of Tau Beta Pi. I am highly involved in the Honors College, where I love mentoring freshmen! I have professional goals to potentially pursue an accelerated Masters and work in the business industry!
Commuting student! I am in the Catholic Student Org (CSO). Some of my professional goals are gaining internship experience within the energy, automotive or aerospace industry.

I started college in 2018. I was a Cullen College MECE major, graduated with a Spanish degree, and continued my studies as MECT major. I've gone through caps, advisors, dorms like cougar village, moody, and the quad. I've been in PROMES. I've done it all. Hell and back.
Hi, my name is Amna and I'm a junior majoring in Human Resources Development with a minor in Legal Studies. I'm a full-time student and commuter, and after completing my HR degree, my goal is to attend law school. During the summer of my freshman year, I worked as a full-time intern in my county's HR department, which gave me some great real-world experience and helped me figure out how I want to shape my career moving forward.
Hi, my name is Jacob Forray and I'm a current Sophomore studying Civil Engineering at UH. I currently live on campus and enjoy exploring downtown and going to sporting events!
I am a junior Honors Mechanical Engineering student. I have lived on-campus for the three years I have spent at UH. Living on-campus has given me a lot of time to devote to the student organizations I am a part of, including UH Ambassadors, Cullen College Engineering Recruitment Ambassadors, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and the Honors Community Advocacy & Responsive Engagement (CARE) Program, as well as my job as a remote Teaching Assistant for introductory engineering courses at the Dalian Maritime University - UH Institute. Since I have always enjoyed the research process and scientific investigation, I participated in research programs such as the Houston Early Research Experience (HERE) and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the University of Maine. I loved the biomedical research work I got to do during my NSF REU and plan to go to graduate school to specialize in biomedical research. After graduating with my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I hope to become an engineering professor and pass on all that I have learned to my students!
My name is Andres Gonzalez and I'm a senior in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I am a transfer student from Lone Star Community College so my main goal is to help other transfer students navigate the transition from a community college to a 4-year university. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Houston Honors College pursuing a dual degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering graduating in May 2027. I currently commute from Richmond, Texas, and am engaged in both theoretical and experimental research in particle physics. I work with Dr. Ratti in her Nuclear Theory Group on projects in quantum chromodynamics (QCD), focusing on cosmological trajectories during the QCD phase transition, and I recently participated in the DUNE-TECH summer research program at Rice University, where I gained hands-on experience with neutrino detector technologies and data analysis workflows. I have also explored applications of machine learning to planetary science through the Houston Early Research Experience (HERE) Program. My long-term goal is to pursue graduate study and a research career in particle physics, with a focus on advancing our understanding of fundamental particles, gravity and the early universe.
