I am currently a member of the Cougar Racing organization. My goal is to work in either the aerospace or the automotive industry.

    I interned with MD Anderson during the summer, where I learned about Healthcare Systems Engineering. I have lived on campus for two years, then moved into an apartment in Houston, so I have done both! I am the On Campus Recruitment Manager for Cullen Ambassadors, an Honors Engineering Teaching Assistant, the Communications Director for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, an Honors Mentor, and a member of Tau Beta Pi. I am highly involved in the Honors College, where I love mentoring freshmen! I have professional goals to potentially pursue an accelerated Masters and work in the business industry!

    I'm a Sophomore Mechanical Engineer who lives on campus and bleeds cougar red. I had a summer internship with BASF as a mechanical maintenance engineer, and I loved that experience. I am an honors mentor as well. Outside of class, I paint up with the Bleacher Creatures and cheer for my coogs 24/7!!

    Adelina Blue is a senior Chemical Engineering student. She has lived in five countries and still enjoys traveling through her study abroad experience. I have done two internships in oil and gas, one in chemicals (ethylene and propylene) and a co-op in chlorine services. I have lived on campus for four years and have worked for housing as a desk assistant (DA) and a resident advisor (RA). I have facilitated PROMES workshop and have been part of AICHE and SWE.

    Hello I'm Ayla. I'm a sophomore honors biomedical engineering student. I live on campus and stay in Cougar Place. I'm originally from Iran, and moved to the united states four years ago. My hometown is Austin texas. I'm an officer in the biomedical engineering society and I'm also a but involved at SWE. Last summer, I did a summer research internship in Dr. Zoldan's Tissue engineering lab. I also did an externship in Alcon! I'm currently exploring both the MD route or the pre industry-PHD route.

    I am a junior Honors Mechanical Engineering student. I have lived on-campus for the three years I have spent at UH. Living on-campus has given me a lot of time to devote to the student organizations I am a part of, including UH Ambassadors, Cullen College Engineering Recruitment Ambassadors, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and the Honors Community Advocacy & Responsive Engagement (CARE) Program, as well as my job as a remote Teaching Assistant for introductory engineering courses at the Dalian Maritime University - UH Institute. Since I have always enjoyed the research process and scientific investigation, I participated in research programs such as the Houston Early Research Experience (HERE) and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the University of Maine. I loved the biomedical research work I got to do during my NSF REU and plan to go to graduate school to specialize in biomedical research. After graduating with my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I hope to become an engineering professor and pass on all that I have learned to my students!

    I am an undergraduate student at the University of Houston Honors College pursuing a dual degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering graduating in May 2027. I currently commute from Richmond, Texas, and am engaged in both theoretical and experimental research in particle physics. I work with Dr. Ratti in her Nuclear Theory Group on projects in quantum chromodynamics (QCD), focusing on cosmological trajectories during the QCD phase transition, and I recently participated in the DUNE-TECH summer research program at Rice University, where I gained hands-on experience with neutrino detector technologies and data analysis workflows. I have also explored applications of machine learning to planetary science through the Houston Early Research Experience (HERE) Program. My long-term goal is to pursue graduate study and a research career in particle physics, with a focus on advancing our understanding of fundamental particles, gravity and the early universe.
