Get ready for tasty seafood and finger-licking BBQ, as the Cullen College of Engineering presents the 2025 UH Energy Industry Crawfish Boil on March 30 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Lynn Eusan Park on the University of Houston campus.
The crawfish boil is a family-friendly festival atmosphere that brings alumni, students, faculty and industry professionals together. Whether you want to meet with some of the biggest companies in the Houston metro area, or just gorge on crawfish, BBQ and ice cream, there is something for you at this event.
This year’s event features a Student Showcase, with representatives from a dozen different organizations, as well as STEM activities and a Kids Zone for the smaller, future Coogs.
Why should you attend? Kristen Johns, a proud alumna of UH and part of the executive committee, lays out some of her reasons for giving back here. Don Sparacino, a former chair for the crawfish boil and a member of the executive committee, has also talked about the importance of UH to the city and giving back.
Last year’s event also served as an opportunity for students to connect with industry professionals, with at least one using that face time to land an internship.
