Photos: 30th Annual UH Engineering Crawfish Boil Kicks off OTC

The UH Cullen College of Engineering hosted its 30th annual Offshore Industry Crawfish Boil on Sunday, May 5 at Lynn Eusan Park.

Thousands of alumni, faculty, students and industry leaders gathered to network and mingle as they enjoyed crawfish, bbq, beer, drinks and live music.

Since its inception, the annual spring event has raised over $1 million to benefit engineering scholarship and academic programs.

Faculty, staff, and colleagues of the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering gathered last week to honor fourteen members of the National Academy of Engineering.

UH President Renu Khator and Cullen College of Engineering Dean Joseph W. Tedesco recognized the distinguished group who represent the Cullen College of Engineering at the Wall of Fame Dedication Ceremony. The wall of fame is located in the Engineering Building.

24th Annual Crawfish Boil Raises Scholarship Funds for Engineering Students

The 24th Annual ASME/UH Crawfish Boil raised significant funds to support University of Houston mechanical engineering students. Held each year as the kickoff event leading into the Offshore Technology Conference, the crawfish boil continues to draw thousands of attendees. According to Diane Ashen, president of Ashen and Associates and chair of the crawfish boil, this year's event was record-breaking.
