Kristen Johns is a nationally recognized leader in the construction industry, known for bridging the gap between academia and the field. A 2016 University of Houston Terry Foundation Scholar, Kristen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the College of Technology and has since dedicated her career to advancing the AEC community.

Her career path rising from the tools as a union apprenticeship electrician, Kristen worked her way up to become a Master Electrician before strengthening her expertise with a Master’s degree in Project Management and earning her PMP certification. Over the years, she has held project management and executive leadership positions with major electrical contracting firms, giving her a unique 360° perspective of the AEC industry.

Kristen is the founder and President of Triple Kore, a consulting firm that equips clients with the tools they need to increase market presence. Triple Kore specializes in MWSWBE procurement strategies, contractor business development, organizational growth planning and systemed strategies that drive results. Acting as both an advisor and industry thinktank, Triple Kore roadmaps visibility for AEC companies helping firms refine their key messaging, secure more opportunities and position themselves as leaders in their space.

Kristen’s results speak for themselves: her own business development campaigns have generated over 2 million LinkedIn views in one year, earning her recognition as a Top Contributor in construction on the platform and she can pack a house wherever she goes. Today, she leverages that visibility expertise to help firms amplify their voice, elevate their brand and connect with the right opportunities.

Her leadership extends beyond business where she actively serves her community through her work with The Woodlands Marathon, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) WIC Week and the Texas Technical Trade School Advisory Council.

An accomplished athlete, Kristen has also qualified three times for the Boston Marathon and the IRONMAN World Championships, a testament to her resilience and dedication on and off the field.

Her vision centers on strengthening ties between the AEC industry and the University of Houston, ensuring lasting connections that drive innovation, talent and growth across the sector.
