Fatimah Al Bazzaz (BS in Civil Engineering, ‘2021) moved to Houston in 2015. She was interested in engineering at a young age and was inspired by her mother who is a mechanical engineer. During her time at UH, Fatimah was an active member with The American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter at the University of Houston and became the Vice President of the chapter in 2021. She was also involved with the Concrete Canoe team and helped plan for the 2022 Student Symposium. After graduation, Fatimah continued her involvement with The American Society of Civil Engineers, Houston Chapter, as well as attending UH EAA events. Fatimah currently works with R.G. Miller | DCCM as an EIT II in their Land Development department. She is also involved with the Events Committee Team, Recruiting Team, and the Internship Program at R.G. Miller | DCCM. Due to her leadership and teamwork skills, she received the Team Builder Award at R.G. Miller | DCCM and was recognized as an exceptional team member who fosters a work environment of collaboration and consistently helpful to and supportive of others. She puts the interests of her team members first, shares knowledge, demonstrates flexibility, and promotes the inclusion of her entire team and supporting departments.

In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton with friends, traveling to different cities in the United States and crafts.
