Research Challenge — Reducing Carbon Footprints
Reducing Carbon Footprints

How do we consume less energy without sacrificing quality of life and economic growth and development? How do we develop strategies for harmonious and symbiotic connections between renewable and carbon-based energy grids for meeting the energy requirements of our society without undue stress on the environment or degradation of environmental quality? How do we convert wasted energy sources to useable sources of energy to increase capacity especially under climate change where hot days may become more frequent and much hotter?

Research at Cullen College spans the full gamut of possible approaches to investigate the answers to these questions.
