Ensuring Access to Clean Water

The National Academy of Engineers (NAE) identified providing access to clean water as one of the 14 Grand Challenges for Engineers in the 21st Century. The NAE estimates that 1 in 6 people on the planet do not have adequate access to water and 2 is 6 people lack appropriate sanitation.

Faculty in the Cullen College of Engineering is responding to this Challenge. They are undertaking cutting edge research on fundamentals and advanced technologies that address this pressing societal need.
