Creating and developing hardware and software to innovate, support, improve and optimize patient care, and to improve patient health outcomes are at the heart of engineering healthcare at Cullen College. Faculty in the College is researching infectious disease and their prevalence in communities, investigating therapies for cancer, chronic disease, rare disorders, developing point of care inexpensive medical devices, imaging parts of the human body using novel technologies, understanding dysfunction at the cellular level, and many others.
