Cullen College Alumnus and Compaq CEO and Co-Founder Speaks at MIT Enterprise Forum

Cullen College alumnus as well as Compaq co-founder and CEO Rod Canion recently spoke about the future of technology at an MIT Enterprise Forum on June 5 at the University of Houston. The event, co-hosted by the Bauer College of Business, is one of several events held annually by MIT to build connections to technology entrepreneurs and the communities in which they reside.

In his talk, Canion predicted strong growth in areas that successfully combine mobile and internet technologies over the next five years. “And then somebody’s going to stumble on the next thing and hopefully figure out how to fit it all together,” he said. Canion also discussed Apple’s leading position in the industry as well as the possibility for wearable technology syncing consumers with their doctors.
