As Seen On UH Moment
What do professional dancers, computer engineers and researchers from the UH Cullen College of Engineering and the University of Maryland have in common? More than you think. Recently, a unique collaboration inside UH's Brain-Machine Interface Systems Laboratory was not only interesting to watch, but it aimed at something that might sound like science fiction: making sense of brainwave patterns and transforming them into tools to give new life to people with challenges, like spinal cord injuries. Its is the result of a very creative research collaboration between UH electrical and computer engineering professor Jose Luis Contreras-Vidal and University of Maryland theatre, dance and performance professor Karen Bradley.
