UH Cullen College of Engineering Receives Award for Website

The UH Cullen College of Engineering's Office of Communications received the Achievement Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV for the college's website (www.egr.uh.edu).

The redesigned site launched on July 5, 2001. The site was produced by the Cullen College of Engineering's Office of Communications (design by Harriet Yim with content support by Angie Shortt).

Added features include a rollover menu with quick links for enhanced usability, accolade submissions, e-mail newsletter sign-up and archives, donors, detailed site map and a text only version of the site. With the college's new logo, news items are also available off the home page with an extensive newsroom of stories.

The homepage incorporates several images that capture new and old portrayals of engineering with technology leading at the top. The broken grid and small lines of varying colors represent the college's innovation of continually thinking outside the box.

To date, complementing websites have been launched for the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.

Visit the redesigned site at www.egr.uh.edu.

CASE District IV represents higher education institutions from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
