EAA Scholarships

The University of Houston Engineering Alumni Association (EAA) is pleased to offer scholarships to students majoring in Engineering for the 2022–2023 school year.  The Engineering Alumni Association will provide a minimum of $8,000 in total scholarships for the upcoming academic year.

  • EAA Outstanding Engineering Student Scholarship — $2000 ($1,000 per semester)
    • Standard criteria: engineering major, 30 hrs at UH, 12 hrs/semester of award, citizen or permanent resident
    • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a minimum major GPA of 3.0 
    • Junior or Senior classification
    • Outstanding contributions in engineering-related activities (on/off campus)
    • Outstanding leadership in UH student engineering societies
  • EAA Future Engineer Scholarship — $2000 ($1,000 per semester)
    • Standard criteria: engineering major, 30 hrs at UH, 12 hrs/semester of award, citizen or permanent resident
    • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a minimum major GPA of 3.0 
    • Any classification (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Post Baccalaureate)
    • Active involvement in UH student engineering societies
    • Community involvement

Eligibility

To be considered, applicants must be a full-time engineering student with a 3.0 GPA (minimum cumulative) and minimum 30 hours completed at UH.  Applicants will be scored on academic achievement, participation in UH student engineering societies, engineering related accomplishments and demonstrated community involvement. Winners must be willing to participate in a brief video for the EAA. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the USA.
