Wayne is a first-generation native Houstonian, who grew up in Spring Branch building model airplanes and hot-rodding cars. Worked as a draftsman/ survey crew while working through UH. Came back to UH working with the senior design capstone projects. Worked with A NSF grant creating pathways from high school to community college to senior colleges. This resulted in being Awarded Volunteer of the Year by UH College of Technology and Distinguished Alumni Award by the UH Industrial Engineering Department.

Mr. Mausbach has over 45 years in Engineering and Manufacturing, he is currently Partner in a Consulting Engineering firm with previously holding management positions from VP of Manufacturing to Project Engineer for Reed-Hycalog/NOV, Schlumberger, Baker-Hughes and Baker. His experience includes implementation of advanced manufacturing systems including robotic systems, computer automation and the development of the people that make these systems work.  This led to involvement with the local colleges (UH, A&M) and technical schools (TSTC, HCC, Lone Star, Aldine ISD CTE Programs. Currently he serves on the UH Engineering and Technical Alumni Board and the UH Industrial Engineering Advisory Board, He is a registered Professional Engineer and has Board Positions with SME Chapter 29 (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and active member of ASM (American Society of Materials) and AWS (American Welding Society). He active with New Life Church serving as an usher and is a Leader in Between the Jobs Ministry where he helps people find their next job.
