Cullen College Communications wins 3 Excalibur awards

The Office of Communications at the University of Houston's Cullen College of Engineering took home three awards from the 35th annual Excalibur Awards, hosted virtually on Oct. 1 by the Houston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Parameters, the College's biannual magazine, received silver designation in the magazine category, the highest distinction given this year. The issues submitted for judging were the Fall 2019 edition of Parameters magazine, “A New Era of Engineering Excellence,” the Spring 2019 issue, “#CullenCollegeStories,” and the Fall 2018 issue, “Everyday Superheroes.” For the full archive of past issues, click here.

In the special publications category, the UH Engineering Undergraduate Catalog was also honored with a silver designation. In the video category, “UH Engineering at Katy” received bronze distinction. Photographer and videographer Jeff Lautenberger created the video.

PRSA Houston's Excalibur Awards honor outstanding public relations professionals, programs and tactics. The organization has now been active in the Houston area for 70 years. For more information and a full list of award winners, visit its website.
