2016 Brookshire Luncheon Honors Scholarship Recipients

The Cullen College of Engineering boasts a highly diverse student body, which includes many students who work full time while pursuing their education.

To recognize the continued dedication and unique challenges faced by these students, Cullen College chemical engineering alumnus Dr. William Brookshire founded two scholarships for students of the college. The William A. Brookshire Scholarship is for students taking a full course load (12 hours) and working at least 20 hours a week, and the William A. Brookshire IMPACT Scholarship is for students who are working, taking a full course load and paying for college on their own with no outside financial support.

On Feb. 3, recipients of the Brookshire scholarships attended a luncheon at the UH Hilton for the opportunity to mingle with one another, share their stories and meet with Brookshire.
