The Houston Chronicle published an article today to bid farewell to the UH Cullen College of Engineering's long-time administrator, supporter and friend, Vita Como.

After 24 years of exemplary service as director of the Engineering Career Center, Como announced her retirement last April. Her last day with the Cullen College was May 15.

Como's positive impact on the Cullen College of Engineering was honored with two endowed scholarships in her name. The college announced the scholarships at Como's retirement party. Guests at the reception included students, staff and faculty members, and alumni of the college -- many of whom delivered touching speeches in honor of Como's retirement.
