The Engineering Career Fair attracted employers from all over southeast Texas to the UH campus in order to meet and recruit Cullen College of Engineering students.

The event, held at the University of Houston Hilton, attracted over 90 companies and 275 recruiters. More than 1,800 Cullen College students attended the fair. The Engineering Career Fair is a leading resource in the Gulf Coast Region for matching UH engineering students with employers offering internships, co-ops and job opportunities.

According to Vita Como, director of professional development at the Engineering Career Center, the response from employers attending the fair was overwhelmingly positive. “It was apparent from speaking with recruiters that our students came very well prepared, and I’m looking forward to hearing about the internships and jobs that will come from this event,” she said.

Como also said the event relies heavily on the student fair committee, and as usual they put on a wonderful event. “Our student career fair committee also impressed me – they are professional, responsible and diligent - and they’re great ambassadors for the college. We can count on them to represent us in a way that keeps these companies and recruiters coming back each semester.”
