Students who take a full class load and work off campus face many unique time management challenges, but their efforts were rewarded recently at the Brookshire Lunch at UH. Founded by Cullen College alumni Dr. William Brookshire, the lunch awards engineering students working to overcome financial burdens. There are two scholarships awarded at the lunch: The William A. Brookshire Scholarship is for students taking a full course load (12 hours) and working at least 20 hours a week, and the William A. Brookshire IMPACT Scholarship is for students who are working, taking a full course load and paying for college on their own with no outside financial support.
The lunch took place on Feb. 2 at the UH Hilton. See the pictures here.
