NSBE's 28th Annual Career Fair Draws Companies To UH

The University of Houston chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is hosting their 28th Annual Career Fair on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the University Center Houston Room.

In addition to speaking directly with company representatives, students majoring in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics and business have access to dozens of companies.

Some of the companies committed this year include Anheuser-Busch, Inc.,, Berwanger Inc., BP, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, BWXT Pantex, Cameron, Centerpoint Energy, Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., Chevron Texaco, Data Systems & Solutions, Exxon Mobil, Flint Hills Resources, Flour Corporation, Halliburton, HP, INROADS, Jacobs Engineering, KBR, Lyondell/Equistar Chemical, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., Microsoft, Rohm & HAAS, Science Applications International Corp., Shell Oil Company, STP Nuclear Operating Company, Texas Department of Transportation, Turner Colliw & Braden Inc., United Space Alliance and the United States Navy.

NSBE, with 8,000 members nationwide, is one of the largest student-managed organizations in the country. The Society is dedicated to the realization of a better tomorrow through the development of intensive programs for increasing the recruitment, retention and successful graduation of minorities in engineering.
