Students in the UH Co-op Program Continue to Receive High Marks from Employers

The University of Houston Cooperative Education Program recently received high marks from participating companies for the job performance of its students.

A random sampling of 186 employer evaluations revealed 63% of the students were rated as outstanding, 34% very good and only 3% as average. No students were rated as marginal or unsatisfactory.

"Our students are making a good impression on industry," says Gerald Davenport, director of the Cooperative Education program. "We have always considered our students good ambassadors for the university, and these survey results confirm that."

The last survey was done a few years ago and had similar results. The Co-op program is housed in the Cullen College of Engineering, but places students of any major at UH.
