The University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering paid tribute to its faculty and alumni who are members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) at a special dinner on May 2, 2001 at the UH Hilton.
Fazle Hussain, UH Cullen Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering, is the latest UH engineering faculty member to be elected to NAE. He joins a handful of other UH professors and alumni who have received this professional honor.
NAE has more than 2,000 peer-elected members and foreign associates, senior professionals in business, academia, and government who are among the world’s most accomplished engineers. They provide the leadership and expertise for numerous projects focused on the relationships between engineering, technology, and the quality of life. The University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering is proud to have seven of its faculty and alumni as members of this elite group.
