Two UH Engineering Graduates Separated by 70 Years

A lifetime separates two special University of Houston engineering students who are graduating this spring. David Levy is receiving two bachelor's degrees, one in mechanical engineering and the other in mathematics. George Hall, meanwhile, is getting his master's degree in industrial engineering. Levy is 16 and Hall is 86, a 70-year age difference. The two extraordinary UH graduates credit hard work, family support and UH for their success and both plan to attend graduation ceremonies for the UH Cullen College of Engineering this Friday (May 13.)

The UH/HCC Engineering Academy at Katy is a unique educational partnership between UH and HCC.

Over 100 individuals joined representatives from the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering and Houston Community College last Thursday, Feb. 20, for the first official UH/HCC Engineering Academy Information Session. The event was held at the new UH at Katy facility, which officially opened in August 2019.

The American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects (ASIE) awarded seven of their 22 engineering scholarships this year to students attending the UH Cullen College of Engineering. The selected undergraduate and graduate students represent six of the college’s seven engineering departments.
