Rockwell Distinguished Lecture Series

The Cullen College of Engineering and the Rockwell Distinguished Lecture Series presented “America’s Energy Future,” a talk by Felipe Bayon from BP surrounding the future of the energy industry’s needs and challenges, on March 21.

Bayon, who serves as Senior Vice President of BP America and heads the company’s Global Deepwater Response Group, spoke about his own personal energy industry experience spanning from Colombia to the United States as well as BP’s high-level view of the future global energy picture. He also spoke on the “Great Crew Change,” the shift in industry from retiring baby boomers to a new generation of STEM-savvy professionals.

The Rockwell Distinguished Lecture Series is named for Elizabeth Dennis Rockwell, a UH alumnae, industry expert and philanthropist who passed away in 2011. Check out the pictures here.
