Two graduate students in the UH department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering won awards at the annual meeting of the southwest regional chapter of the North American Catalysis Society, held at Rice University on April 26.
Tayebeh Hamzehlouyan won a poster competition award for her presentation titled Kinetic Study of the SO2 Oxidation Reaction Over a Pt/Al2O3 Diesel Oxidation Catalyst.
Alexandra Lupulescu won an award for her presentation titled A Multiscale Approach to the Rational Design of Zeolite Catalysts.
