Before the campus closed for the holidays, the new UH President, Jay Gogue, paid a visit to the Cullen College of Engineering.
Dean Ray Flumerfelt introduced the president to the college's leadership, which included the associate deans, department chairs and directors. After a short introduction to the college, the president had time to visit a lab, where Professor Peter Vekilov had the opportunity to showcase his groundbreaking research on Sickle Cell Anemia. Some of Vekilov's work was featured on the cover of Science last February.
