Since 1987 the Engineering Alumni Association has recognized alumni, faculty and friends of the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering for significant contributions to society and the profession.
Charles Beyer and Ravi Singhania will receive the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award at the 2001 Distinguished Engineering Alumni Awards Dinner on Friday, June 1 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Houston. The keynote speaker will be Houston Mayor Lee P. Brown.
David Higgins will be presented with the Distinguished Young Engineering Alumnus Award. Michael Lacy will receive the Roger Eichhorn Leadership Service Award, and Dave Shattuck will receive the Abraham E. Dukler Distinguished Faculty Award.
