Forward-thinking materials scientist Yan Yao, Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is the recipient of the 2025 Edith and Peter O’Donnell Award in Engineering from TAMEST. Laith Al-Hayek, a supply chain and logistics technology graduate, was born in Houston and raised between Texas and Saudi Arabia. He describes the last few years as “quite a journey,” full of international travel and learning how to live on his own.
