The stature of the Cullen College of Engineering has increased again, and is now the No. 66 rated graduate engineering program in the country.  

$750K GRANT FOR 'ICEPHOBIC' COATINGS

Elemental Coatings founded by Dr. Hadi Ghasemi, has received a $750,000 grant from the Air Force Research Laboratory to continue refining “icephobic” coatings for their aircraft, through a collaboration with Boeing.

Girls Engineering the Future brings together female STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) enthusiasts to engage in hands-on activities and learning, and is led by University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering professors and students. Participants will learn about different STEM fields and concepts while engaging virtually with current Cullen College students and faculty.

Girls Engineering the Future is open to all female students grades 4 – 8; it doesn’t matter where you live, we are happy to have you! Virtual activities begin May 3!

The University of Houston is planning safe and socially distanced, in-person commencement ceremonies for 2021 graduates. Masks must be worn by all graduates and guests. Socially distanced assigned seating will be observed in the venue. The ceremonies will be live-streamed for those who are unable to join in-person.
