to the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering's
Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Website
for High School Science and Math Teachers of the Greater Houston area


RET is designed to provide teachers with the opportunity to conduct a research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, and develop teaching modules related to engineering to take back to their classrooms. The projects cover a variety of topics, such as the diverse fields of control systems, biomedical engineering, optics, and computer programming. The 2009 summer marks the sixth year of this program.

Basic 2009 program information:

Program Dates:  June 8 - July 15, 2009
Stipend:  $7000 for the summer
Application Deadline:  April 6, 2009
