Engineers Week 2012 runs February 19-25. The UH Cullen College of Engineering is especially proud to celebrate the many accomplishments of its alumni during this time. 2012 Amundson Lecture to Feature Retired Exxon Mobil Chairman, CEO
The late Neal R. Amundson, Cullen Professor Emeritus of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and professor of mathematics at UH, will be honored this Friday at the 2012 Neal R. Amundson Lecture. This year's speaker is Lee R. Raymond, retired chairman and CEO of Exxon Mobil Corp., who earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering under Amundson. Report Examines Cracking and Fatigue in Highway Illumination Poles
Mina Dawood, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, has published a report outlining factors that contribute to cracking of high mast illumination poles during fabrication. The report also provides strategies to prevent these cracks and potential failures from occurring. Read More
