[BME] Advanced EMG and NeuroMyo Engineering for Rehabilitation

Electromyogram (EMG) signal is electrical manifestation of a contracting muscle. In this talk, I will first give an overview of different EMG recording and processing techniques. Then, I will briefly update several ongoing research projects in the NeuroMyo Engineering for Rehabilitation (NMER) Laboratory of UTHealth and TIRR Memorial Hermann, focusing on high density surface EMG processing and examination of motor unit alterations after stroke.
