MS Telecommunications Engineering
Telecommunications is one of the hottest areas of job opportunity today. Although the term “telecommunications engineering” may sound specialized, it actually consists of a broad range of activities, many of which electrical and computer engineers have been practicing for many decades. Its fundamentals are still included in the traditional areas of electronics, communication systems, computers, analog and digital signal processing, guided-wave transmission, wireless transmission and others, but these areas are adapted to fit new technological developments in the communication areas.

With the new Specialty in Telecommunications, the UH Cullen College of Engineering is educating engineers to lead the booming field of telecommunications engineering and its management. The program is part of the college’s prestigious Telecom Center that has a very strong support from industry and the financial community.
