Deadlines for submitting Major Change Petition
Fall	August 1
Spring	December 1
Summer	May 1

Petitions received in the Engineering Dean’s office will be reviewed with 1 of 4 following outcomes:

1. Approved (Timetable: for notification 2 weeks)
Requirements met for Engineering

2. Hold for grades* for current semester enrolled.
You should hear from us when grades have been posted and we make our final review of your Petition.

Fall: Early August
Spring: Early January
Summer: End of May first of June

3. Application is premature – Disapproved (Timetable: for notification 2 weeks)
You have not completed required course work needed for Engineering.
Re-petition once more course work has been completed.

4. Disapproved (Timetable: for notification 2 weeks)
You did not meet requirements for Engineering. (If you have any questions or concerns, please contact an academic advisor in the dean's office).

Minimum Requirements For The Cullen College of Engineering**
2.50 GPA on all	College level English courses attempted
2.50 GPA on all	Calculus based Math courses attempted
2.50 GPA on all	Calculus based Physics and Chemistry courses attempted
2.50 GPA on all	College level work attempted
