HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES: THIS SATURDAY, NOV. 8
The UH Cullen College of Engineering will honor the Classes of 1960-1969 at a special Homecoming Brunch at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 in the Commons area of Engineering Bldg 1. Spouses and children are also welcome. RSVP by Thursday to Adele Rena at erena@uh.edu or 713-743-4202.

Following the reception, join the Engineering Alumni Association for their tailgate party and Armchair Olympics. BBQ plate and beverages are available at the tailgate for $15/adult, $8/student or $5/child. Jennifer Luna, a junior mechanical engineering student, exhibits her Oscillating Sprinkler Project during Design I. Students were asked to develop a demonstration for high school students of a machine element associated with a drive train, and were allowed to use a "liberal" interpretation of a drive train. SPOTLIGHT: UH ENGINEERING STUDENT IN THE LAB
Chemical Engineering student Cinzu Czenn is using a Tesla Coil to initiate a gaseous discharge in a parallel-plate plasma reactor, similar to ones used in the semiconductor industry to etch fine features in silicon integrated circuits. Full story...
