The Engineering Alumni Association is currently accepting nominations for four (4) Board of Director positions -- self nominations are welcome. Besides networking opportunities at alumni events, board members help in scholarship selection, student organization sponsorships and much more.

(July 10, 2002) The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), through the UH Department of Industrial Engineering, recently worked with Champion Fiberglass to develop a new molding compound process by investigating and recommending specific actions in various areas. Full story...

(July 8, 2002) David Dawlearn, lab machinist in the UH Department of Chemical Engineering, spends his spare time "clowning around" for local causes. He recently joined ABC Ch. 13 and the March of Dimes for the 11th annual Caring Cradles community-wide baby shower. Full story...

The E-Block is back in 2002! Enjoy Cougar Football with other UH engineering alumni. E-Block tickets include all six home games and tailgating fun: Sept. 7 (Tulane @ 7pm), Sept. 14 (UL Lafayette @ 7pm), Oct. 19 (Army @ 7pm), Nov. 9 (East Carolina @ 2pm), Nov. 23 (South Florida @ 2pm), Nov. 30 (Louisville @ 2pm).
