2004 Distinguished Engineering Awards
William C. Miller Jr. (1955 BSPE) and John W. Rouse (1973 BSCE) will receive the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award at the 2004 Distinguished Engineering Alumni Awards Dinner on Friday, June 4 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Houston. Tanya Dugat Wickliff (1989 BSME) will receive the Distinguished Young Engineering Alumna Award and Elizabeth D. Rockwell will receive the Roger Eichhorn Leadership Service Award. will receive the Abraham E. Dukler Distinguished Engineering Faculty Award. The keynote speaker will be Harris County Judge Robert Eckels. To attend, print the invitation and reply card (pdf).

Metcalfe, Vekilov Named Deputy Directors of Biomedical Engineering Program
The Biomedical Engineering Program, which was launched last fall by the UH Cullen College of Engineering, is quickly attaining a full staff with director Matt Franchek naming Ralph Metcalfe and Peter Vekilov as deputy directors for the program.
