(May 13, 2002) William P. Schneider, electrical and computer engineering professor, is retiring after 37 years of teaching at the Cullen College of Engineering. Schneider, whose original connection to the university goes back 57 years, has been recognized with numerous awards for teaching excellence throughout his career.

(May 13, 2002) Dean Raymond Flumerfelt announced the winners of this year's faculty teaching and research awards at the UH Cullen College of Engineering's annual Faculty and Staff Meeting on April 30.

(May 11, 2002) Dawnelle Prince, ISIP program coordinator at the UH Cullen College of Engineering, has received the prestigious Rising Star Award from the Texas Association of College Admissions Counseling.

(May 11, 2001) The live webcast from the UH Cullen College of Engineering convocation ceremony on May 11 will be archived and posted to the college's website in two weeks.

(May 6, 2002) UH engineering students from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics guest starred on NASA's cable channel, NASA CONNECT TV, on May 9.

(May 6, 2002) Haluk Ogmen, UH professor of electrical and computer engineering, discusses the UH Center for Neuro-Engineering & Cognitive Science in the latest edition of the 'Images' audio Web cast program. Main research of the center includes brain wave analysis; visual perception, how people see the world around them; and the potential of neuron- implants, small devices imbedded in the brain to record signals and activity.
