Meeting the Global Challenge:
Economic trends in the past two decades have clearly demonstrated that mass production is no longer synonymous with profitability and national wealth creation.  Improving productivity through cost reduction methods only marginally increases the profits, which in the long run can displace the enterprise’s trained workforce. 

Innovation is regarded as the most important element that has assisted developed countries to further improve their economic leadership in the global market.  Innovation should not only be restricted and interpreted as leadership in technology but should also be looked at as the ways and means of providing products and services that can meet and exceed the world demand.

In today’s market, global economic leadership can not achieved without having a strong foundation in managing innovation and required skills in qualifying and analyzing the market’s economic challenges and opportunities
