» During the Fall and Spring semesters, approximately 600 undergraduate students
are enrolled in the ECE department at UH.

Undergraduate electrical and computer engineering students complete:
25 semester hours in math, physics, chemistry;
70 semester hours in electrical engineering;
38 semester hours of core curriculum designed to provide a strong liberal education essential
    in an educated person.
 
Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering may choose between...
The EE option, which provides breadth in several of the many areas of EE, and
The Computer option, which offers specialization in computers within the framework of an
    Electrical Engineering degree.
 
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program and the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, telephone: (410) 347-7700.
