Dr. David P. Shattuck was born in Albany, New York in 1954. He received a B.S. degree in Engineering Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1976, and a Ph.D. in BioMedical Engineering from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 1982. He joined the faculty at the University of Houston in the Department of Electrical Engineering in the fall of 1982, where he has worked until the present.
Dr. Shattuck has won three separate awards for teaching. He received a Top Prof award from the University of Houston Mortar Board Society in 1990. He received the Outstanding Teaching Award given by the students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as the W.T. Kittinger Award for Outstanding Teacher in the Cullen College of Engineering, both in 1991. He also won a George Magner Award, a university-wide award for outstanding advising, in 1996. |
