John R. Glover received the B.A. and M.E.E. degrees from Rice University in 1967 and 1968, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1975. From 1971 to 1974 he was a National Science Foundation Fellow at Stanford University. In 1975 he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston, where he is now a Professor and Director of Engineering Computing. In 1981 he received the Outstanding Transactions Paper Award from the IEEE Education Society.

Research Areas: Computers in education, bioelectrical signal processing, adaptive signal processing, knowledge-based systems.

Teaching Areas: Signal processing, computers in engineering, object-oriented programming.
