Mrs. de la Rosa-Pohl joined the UH faculty in August, 2003. She spent the previous year and a half doing research in biomedical image analysis with the Visual Computing Laboratory here at UH's Texas Learning and Computation Center (TLC2). Mrs. de la Rosa-Pohl came to the University of Houston after teaching for two years at the University of Texas at Brownsville's Computer Science Department. Before working in academia, she worked as a hardware engineer with a division of Bell+Howell in Irving, TX working on character recognition systems. Her interests currently include engineering education, distance learning, and computer vision systems. |
