070329. As discussed at the beginning of class on Tuesday, if we made sufficient progress, we would not be having class on Thursday. Since that was the case, class will not be held today. You are to utilize this time to work on your group homework assignment that is due next week.
070327. Today, we will have current events including the last episode of the Apprentice. I want to caution everyone that current events articles means that the article was recently released. This means within the last year or so. Articles from the 90's are not considered current. We wil also be beginning the monitoring and information systems chapter. Lastly, I will be returning the exams.
070322. On Tuesday, I neglected to discuss the reading assignment in the Critical Chain. I would like to attempt to do Chapter 11. We will also be finishing up Chapter 9 in the book. Lastly, I will be making the assignment for the group homework/project.
070320. Today we will have current events including a discussion of the last Apprentice. We will also begin covering the next chapter on resource allocation in the book. Before anyone asks, I will not be returning the exams today. They will be returned either Thursday or next Tuesday provided that anyone who has not yet taken the exam does so. If you have not yet taken the exam, you must arrange to take the exam this week.
070306. Today we will be having current events and the review for the exam on Thursday. The homework assignment on pricing out the systems is due today. As requested, I have posted the powerpoint file from the 1 March network lecture. The exam review notes are also posted.
070227. We will begin chapter 8 on scheduling today. We will also have current events. The group homework assignment for the WBS, LRC, Gantt Chart, and bill of materials is due today.
070222. As discussed in class on Tuesday, we will not be having a formal lecture today. I will be present in the classroom at 5:30 in the event that any group needs assistance with the homework/project assignment that is due next Tuesday. This also means that I will be postponing the cost estimation assignment of the homework/project until next Tuesday so that you will only have one homework assignment at a time. We will also postpone discussion of the Critical Chain until next Thursday after which time, we will have had an opportunity to discuss pert charts.

070122. All students enrolled in this class should check to insure that they are still enrolled. I was informed on Friday that the department will not allow any additional students to be put into the class. As of Monday morning, due to drops, there were two available spaces in the 40 student quota.
070118. We will be covering chapter 1 today. The notes are below. We will also be discussing possible homework application topics. We will hold off on chapter 2 until next Tuesday. There have been a number of requests for students to enroll in the class even though it is currently closed. In order to determine the number of students that can enroll in addition to the quota, I will need to make a count of the number of available seats in the room. If you wish to be able to enroll come to class on today and I will establish a list.
