MATLAB Software

 

 

We will be using MATLAB 7, Release 14.x.  The software is available for your use in the Engineering Computing Center.  You will find it on \\laser\apps.

 

If you have a home computer, you may find it useful to purchase MATLAB Student Version Release 14, which includes MATLAB 7, Simulink , and the Symbolic Math Toolbox.  (We will not use the last two items in this course, but you may find them useful in later courses.)   There are four easy ways to purchase MATLAB: 

1. You can now purchase MATLAB software on campus at a reduced price from Information Technology. Enter  the back of the M.D. Anderson Library   Both MATLAB14 (Student Version) and MATLAB7 (Full Version) are available.  Information can be obtained at this link: http://www.uh.edu/infotech/software/store/
   
2. You can order the software from the Mathworks web site: http://www.mathworks.com/products/studentversion/index.shtml .
   
3. You can purchase the software from the UH Bookstore
   
4. You can also purchase the software from the Cougar Byte for a reduced price.
