Introduction to Cognitive Science
The graduate Introduction to Cognitive Science is a required course for the Certificate in Cognitive Science. It is a multi-disciplinary course that is team-taught by members of CNECS. Among the topics typically covered are: The neural basis for sensory and cognitive processes; reverse engineering; computer modeling; perception, emotions, language, memory and learning.

Pro-Seminar in Cognitive Science
The Pro-Seminar is designed to introduce students to the wide array of approaches to, and topics in, cognitive neuroscience. Faculty and graduate students from UH and other institutions, typically within the Houston area, are invited to present their research. Since Houston is a vibrant center for research in the field, students gain a knowledge of some of the most cutting-edge research.
